In this case, two identical statues of the Venus of Willendorf are compared. The text: Before / After may seem confusing until you consider the dieter's complaint.

12" x 24" digital print on canvasI am / I know was inspired by all the current discussions about artificial intelligence. I wanted to demonstrate a vaudevilleesque encounter between two robots. When the first one discovers his consciousness and declares " I am", the other one, in a deadpan retort, replies "I know".
I have worked out a method of producing very detailed photographs of very small objects enlarged many times the original size.
